Monthly Meeting Minutes for December 8, 2020

Zoom and meeting at the church called to order by Ralph Grant at 7:05pm.
Attendance:
16 members attended the meeting in person and 7 more logged in via ZOOM.

Motion made, seconded and voted to accept the November meeting minutes as posted on the web site.
Treasurerâs Report:

The November report was not available by meeting time
Field Committee Report:
Dave Brown, Field Committee Chairman
There was nothing to report. The tree trimming was completed and a grant request is being submitted to AMA for partial reimbursement of the cost. Thank Bob Schmidt for the holiday decorations at the field.
Safety Committee Report:

Thankfully, there was nothing to report.
Membership Chairmanâs Report

If a person asks if he can fly and is not a member, be sure to ask to see his AMA card. The end of the year is fast approaching and your club membership will end at midnight December 31st. The PayPal system is available for you to renew your membership
Old Business:
Despite miserable weather, the chili cookout and St. Louis Food Bank donation drive was held  Thanks to Dave Brownâs stew and David Harringtonâs chili, there was enough food to go around. In addition, the food drive raised over 340 pounds of food in 10 boxes to give to the needy (see below). The club received a nice âthank youâ from Meredith Knopp, President and CEO of Foodbank.  (See additional photos on the web site)Â
New Business:
The December meeting was open for discussion concerning upcoming events and club activities. If you have any suggestions, please inform the officers so they can add it to the agenda. Among the suggestions which included the normal activities like âfrozen fingersâ, swap meet, and Open House, Racing, fun flies, jet time trials, drone racing, and cook-outs were discussed.

Steve Pokorny displayed several control line combat planes from yesteryear. And Dave Harrington brought a B-25 for display
