I was able to attend the St. Louis Airshow Saturday June 11th.

I have a friend by the name of Bevin Shively who owns the Diamond D20 Katana in the photo in front of “Doc” B-29.  Bevin and my brother Bob go all the way back to Ozark Airlines!  All photos with Bevin’s in the name are credited to him.

He has a camera lens that will darn near put you in the cockpit.  Attached are the photos (Bevin’s Shots) he shared with my brother Bob, my son Matt and myself.  We sat in front of the old tower which is now the administration building.   We had a comfortable breeze and excellent view of the runway activities.  My grandsons Chase (7) and Zander (5) were also in attendance.  Chase wants to learn to fly RC!

We also had the opportunity to talk with Major Kristin “Beo” Wolfe the F-35 Demo pilot.  Asked how many G’s she pulled in the tight turn stage center…she said 6 ½…but pulled 9 G’s from high speed pass into vertical.  She has been the F-35 demo pilot for 3 years now.

What a great day…the sights, especially the sounds (F-35’s are loud), and family together enjoying an astounding air show!
