RESULTS AND PHOTOS: Our latest Fun Fly contest is in the books. The event had 13 contestants and included timed event trials like Lift, Roop, Land aimed at shortest elapsed time and Timed Flight that was an exercise that was scored on who flew the mission and landed closest to a predetermined amount of time. Other events were targeted at skill accuracy, Spot Landing, Bomb Drop, Carrier Landing and the Can Gong (Just Married Style).
We had a spirited competition, a little carnage, some fish, hotdogs and burgers and a good time was had by all. Mark Twain Hobby provided $10 gift cards for all the top qualifiers in each trial. The contest culminated in a poker hand playoff where the ‘big prizes’ were awarded.
- 1st pick was a Ready To Fly OS FS70 4cycle powered Aeromaster biplane by CURT MILSTER from the Babe Raab prize pool.
- 2nd pick was a complete, ready to run RC Crawler truck by TOM KAREZ from the Dan Morrison prize pool.
- 3rd pick was a NIB Super Tigre GS40 by RICHARD CARTER from the Babe Raab prize pool.
- 4th pick was a like new Spektrum DX8 transmitter by PAUL GEDERS from the Rich Taylor prize pool.
- 5th pick was a Monocote sealing iron by STEVE CROSS from the Babe Raab prize pool.
- 6th pick was a Monocote trim iron by STEVE FLUHR from the Babe Raab prize pool.
